Founded by Catherine Dentino and Paul Yavarone of Big Art Show, Pterodactyl Philadelphia is an art outreach organization in the Kensington/Port Richmond area of Philadelphia. Their purpose is to revive the enjoyment and practice of art for personal fullfillment through their affordable classes. Pterodactyl Philadelphia regularly hosts special events featuring guest lecturers and instructors as well as maintaining an art gallery which houses many great works of art created by Pterodactly Philadelphia students and supporters.
Currently, Pterodactyl Philly is half way through their summer courses but will be beginning their Fall Classes soon. They are currently looking for anyone interested in teaching classes or workshops. The deadline to apply is July 24th 2009.
