Skin & Bones Tattoo Art Exhibit in Philadelphia

Skin and Bones takes a look back at the history of American tattoos in the lives of Sailors from the 18th century to present day. It reveals the origins of American Tattooing and features many historical photographs, flash art, vintage tattoo machines as well as information on those who have affected the world of tattooing such as Samuel O’Reilly, inventor of the electric tattoo machine as well as icons in tattooing such as Sailor Jerry, Sailor Eddie and Madame Chinchilla. The exhibition is complimented by Educational Programming, Special Guest Lectures and special film screenings.
